    • Sir James Sandilands, 5th of Calder; married 1st (dispensation 25 July 1463) Margaret, daughter and heiress of John Kinloch of Curvie; married 2nd Margaret (married 2nd c 17 May 1509, as his 2nd wife, 4th Earl of Erroll), daughter of Andrew Kerr of Auldtounburn and Cessford, and died by 1505, having by her had three sons (James, of Cravie, ancestor of Sir James Sandilands created Lord Abercombie 12 Dec 1647, the title expiring with the death 1681 of the latter's son James; John, of Gartcarron in Lennox, died by 10 May 1521; Peter, Rector of Calder 1526, died c 4 May 1549) and two daughters (Margaret, married 1st Robert Bruce of Auchinbowie of Stirling, married 2nd the 3rd Lord Oliphant; the other daughter married William Dishington of Ardross and had issue) and by his 1st wife had [John], with a daughter (Christian, married 1st by 1498 David Hepburn of Waughton, married 2nd Andrew Anstruther of that ilk.
