married Mary Reed Blackennburg in 1834. 7 children.
emigrated from Fleming Co.,. Ky., to Callaway Co., Mo. in 1828, and lived in Fulton for some years, in 1852 he removed to a farm 3 1-2 miles south of Fulton. By occupation he was a carpenter and a skilled mechanic; helped design and build Missouri's first Insane Asylum at Fulton, and he designed and erected the first county court house.
