Played Saxophone in quartet in New England. Choir Director for 30 years. Went to Colby Jr. College, then Amherst for a year. Then went to Portland, Oregon and worked for Studebaker selling cars. Came back to Chicago to go to Moody Bible Inst. and Northwestern Theo. Sem.
His first parish was at Cornell, Ill. where Paul Kimball was born. Then he went to Lincoln where they were hosted by the 'Beach' family.

After a couple years in Lincoln and a couple in France with the AEF for the Y in the motor corps., he decided he wasn't called to the ministry, so he resigned and went to work for the Chamber of Commerce in Lincoln. Then he moved to Chicago where he held the top paying job in Kiwanis Intl. (Executive Secretary)

Had a good baritone voice and played tenor sax. He and his brothers and grand-uncle Jim, had a sax quartet which toured New England when they were young.
