  When Jon Tallaksson's father died in 1522, he inherited the entire Aukland farm, which was valued at 2 1/2 laupar butter. He is named in the tax lists of 1519 and 1521. In 1521, Jon had to pay 22 marks 3 shillings, as well as 26 lodd silver and 4 marks 2 shillings in tax. This shows that he was a very rich man. Jon is also named in the probate document of 1522 detailing the division of his father's estate. That document still exists and is preserved at the Aukland farm. He is last named in 1565 and probably died shortly thereafter.
