- Sir Alexander de Lindsay, of Glenesk, Angus; succeeded his mother in her share of the Abernethy lands, Esquire to the Earl of Angus, knighted on 1368, Justiciary 1378; married 1st 1358 Catherine, daughter of Sir John Stirling of Edzell and heiress of Glenesk; married 2nd Marjory, niece of Robert III,m and died 1381 at Candia, Cyprus, on his way to the Holy Land.
