| Notes |
Settled in Windham before 1714. Lived to age 102. Before that he lived in Glastanbury, Conn. Virtually all the BIBBINS's in America are descended from Arthur who changed his name from BEVIN to BIBBINS about 1700. Church records say he lived to be 108.
He is represented to have been a man of great vigor and health, never sick a day until after he was 100 when he was thrown from a horse and injured, after which he was confined until his death. Tradition says he was a shoemaker, and after the death of his last wife resided with his grandson Elijah.

| History of Industry in Windham, Connecticut | Arthur Bibbins, another centenarian, though he had never known a sick day, was thrown from his horse, receiving injuries which caused his death, as we might say, prematurely, at the age of about one hundred and two years. |
