The Stuout of New Jersey are descended from John Stout, of Nottinghamshire, Englad, whose son Richard emigrated to America, and, at Gravesend, L. I., was one od the original settlers. He was the first English Settler in New Jersey in 1648, remaining for four years when the English were driven out by the Dutch.
