In the year 1857, Elder Benedict Weyeneth came to the Roanoke area, referred to by many as the "Prarie". The first church was erected in 1864 and was enlarged in the eyear 1876.
The elders who served the Roanoke congregation through the years were Bro. Benedict Weyeneth, Bro. COnrad Fehr, Bro. Michael Mangold and Bro. David mangold. At present Bro. Leroy Huber has the oversight of the Roanoke church. |
