    • (We earlier had his wife as Ameila Hennis. I'm not sure where tha reference came from. The History of McClean County, Illinois lists his wife as Louisa Addison. Familysearch.org has a record for an Amelia Hennis (b. 1793, Fleming Co., KY) who m. 13 Oct 1814 (in Fleming Co., KY) Abraham Gooding (b. 16 Mar 1784, Bucks Co., PA; d. 5 Dec 1818, Fleming Co., KY).

The Historical Encyclopedia of Illinois, page 1269 says: "Louisa Gooding, the maternal grandmother, was a daughter of Abram Gooding, a native of Virgina, who came to Maysville, Ky., where he spent his last days with his wife (Louisa Addison), dying in Virginia"
