  was named as of Stapenhill (Stapenhall) in the County of Derby, England, in a complaint of Walter Blount in about 1533. He is also mentioned in a 1547 deed. In the will of his son George, dated May 3, 1596, Robert is said to have been deceased.   Robert Abell was living in Bryslingcote, county Derby, in 1517.
