was mentioned in the wills of his brother Anthony in 1559 and his brother George in 1596 as then deceased. His will is dated March 18, 1787/88, and was proved at London on May 17 of that year. In this will he gave to his only son George Abell “all the tithes of Ticknall and I appoint him sole executor.” His wife’s name is unknown.
