This web site has been made to show some parts of my medals and orders collection. It should be for your pleasure as well as for mine. Having the medals and orders displayed at the web allows me to keep the real orders and medals stored in a safe bank vault:-) And I can still look at them every day!!!

The Order of the Norwegian Lion
The Order of the Norwegian Lion was only awarded to 11 people. It was intended to be on level with the Swedish Order of the Seraphim above the St. Olav. However with the new King Haakon arriving in 1905 the order was not used any more. The collar has been awarded to only to 7 people.

The above photo is of the Norwegian St Olav collar issued in the period 1882 to 1906. The badge is a 1860 version.
The Norwegian Order of the St Olav 1890 Knight 2.
The Knight 2 was only awarded to foreigners between 1890 and 1905. A total of 65 were awarded during that period.
The Norwegian Order of the St Olav 1906 Knight 2.
The above photo is of the Norwegian Military St Olav Knight II class in silver with swords. This was awarded to extremely few people in Norway and also very few abroad. In Norway only 45 without swords were issued during 1906-37 and only a handful was awarded with swords.

The Swedish Order of the Seraphim, - Medal for the Chaplain.
The above photo is of the Swedish medal for the Chaplain. At any given time there are 2 Chaplains for the Seraphim Order. This has been active since 22.11.1784 and ended 17.12.1974. During these 190 years a total of 38 Chaplains have been at this special service. Understandably the medal shown here is assumed to be quite unique.

The above photo is of the Swedish pre 1873 Seraphim breast star. The number of awards between 1850 and 1873 was about 100. Not all of them were metal. This star has also been carried by one of the later Kings.
The Swedish Order of the Seraphim 1880 star.
The above photo is of the Swedish 1880 Seraphim breast star. The 1890 series was awarded to about 200 people.
The Swedish Order of the Seraphim 1919 star.
The above photo is of the Swedish 1919 Seraphim breast star. Known to be the favorite of the Swedish king.The 1919 series was only awarded to about 90 people.
